虚拟语气探微
——从两道高考题谈起
1. (NEMT 1996) You didn’t let me drive. If we in turn, you so tired.
A. drove, didn’t get B. drove, wouldn’t get
C. were driving, wouldn’t get D. had driven, wouldn’t have got.
2. (2001,上海春季, 40) He hesitated for a moment before kicking the ball, otherwise he a goal.
A. had scored B. scored C. would score .D. would have scored.
这两道题都是考查虚拟语气的用法。第一题测试虚拟语气在if 引导的非真实条件中的用法。从题中第一句可以看出，本题是对过去情况的虚拟。If 从句谓语动词形式为 had +过去分词，主句应为would/ should +have +过去分词。因此，答案为Ｄ。第二题为含蓄式虚拟条件句，不直接使用if 引出虚拟条件，而是副词otherwise 来暗示条件（if he hadn’t hesitated ），是对过去动作的虚拟。因此答案是Ｄ。
