  native americans are believed to have come to north america from north-east asia, arriving over a land bridge between siberia and alaska about 12,000 years ago.

  only in 1868, after four terrible years were they allowed to return to their land.

  the removal of the cherokee indians from their life-long homes in the year of 1838 found me a young man…and a soldier in the american army.

being acquainted with many of the indians and able to fluently speak their language, i was sent as interpreter … and witnessed the execution of the most brutal order in the history of american warfare.
