1). to help students learn to read an introduction about computer
2).to help students better understand “the computer science”
3).to help students learn to use some important words and expressions

5）practice different reading skills, such as skimming, scanning, intensive reading, extensive reading, etc.

step 1: review the simlpe development of computers:
abacus→culculator→huge computer→pc→laptop→pda→robot
